A makerspace in the making... Franklin Makerspace is the d.b.a. (doing business as) of Franklin Gear, Inc. - a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to facilitating a creative, welcoming environment for our community members.
Our goal is to provide a shared space for all of our local makers to thrive with access to tools, equipment, workspaces, and support. What exactly is a makerspace?A makerspace operates similarly to a gym.
We have specialty equipment that members can use whenever they like. We hold regular classes for people to learn new equipment and get the most out of it! But rather than exercise equipment we'll have:
